Man Fatally Wounded In Hawaiian Gardens Drive-By Shooting

HAWAIIAN GARDENS (CBSLA.com) — A homicide investigation is underway in Hawaiian Gardens following a fatal shooting Sunday morning, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.

An adult Latino was pronounced dead at the scene, which happened around 9:20 a.m. Sunday in the 12200 block of 224 Street.

There were reports that the victim was a father of three.

The victim was found in the driver's seat of a green compact suffering from a gunshot wound to the upper torso, deputies said. There were conflicting reports from the scene that said the victim was 43 or 50 years old.

There were also reports that a second man, a 30-year-old was also wounded in the car-to-car shooting.

Detectives are currently investigating.

No suspect information was released.
