Homicide investigation launched after man found dead inside Pico Rivera home

A homicide investigation is underway after a man was found dead in Pico Rivera on Sunday afternoon. 

It was first reported at around 4:50 a.m. at a home in the 9400 block of Harrell Street, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department. 

The victim, only identified as a man, was declared dead at the scene. They did not provide information on the nature of his death.

Circumstances surrounding the incident remain sparse as investigators began their preliminary investigation. 

They did not have details on a possible suspect or motive.
