Homicide Detectives Investigating Stabbing Between Roommates In Jurupa Valley

JURUPA VALLEY (CBSLA.com) — Homicide detectives are investigating a stabbing "between roommates" in Jurupa Valley Monday night.

Jurupa Valley police officers responded to a call of a stabbing in the 6000 block of Alicante Avenue at 9:25 p.m., according to the Riverside County Sheriff's Department.

Deputies and medical personnel arrived to find the victim had succumbed to his injuries.

Kyle Gallardo, 30, of Jurupa Valley, was detained at the scene and booked on homicide charges.

The victim's identity was not immediately released.

The Jurupa Valley Police Department and the Sheriff's Central Homicide Unit are conducting a joint investigation.
