Homicide Detectives Investigating Shooting Death Near Lynwood Mini Mall

LYNWOOD (CBSLA.com) — An investigation was underway Thursday after a man was killed in a shooting near a Lynwood mini mall.

Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department deputies responded to the 10900 block of Long Beach Boulevard about 6:45 p.m. to investigate the circumstances of the death.

The L.A. County Fire Department took the man to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The area surrounding the mall was closed down.

Homicide detectives are investigating.
