Homicide Detectives Investigate Death Of Elderly Man In Rancho Cucamonga

RANCHO CUCAMONGA (CBSLA.com) — Homicide detectives on Monday continued to investigate the death of an 83-year-old man in Rancho Cucamonga.

Shortly before 4:30 p.m. on Sunday, officers were sent to a large field located near Foothill Boulevard and Red Hill Country Club Drive, according to the Rancho Cucamonga Police Department.

Upon their arrival, authorities located a Caucasian man dead on the ground.

Due to the suspicious nature of his death, homicide detectives were called to assist with the investigation.

The victim's identity is being withheld pending family notification.

Officials explained an autopsy will be conducted to determine the cause of death.
