Homeowner's Yard Sign Dares Thieves To Come Back

APPLE VALLEY (CBSLA.com) — An Apple Valley homeowner's sign is getting a lot of attention.

Barbara Neff wrote a note specifically for recent thieves that says:

"Anybody who knows me knows I have a surprise for them," Neff said.

Since the note went up, her Apple Valley neighbors shared similar stories.

"It's getting so bad around here you just got to protect yourself," a neighbor said, who didn't want to be identified.

The camera shy neighbor, put up his own cameras after he says a thief cut his fence, stole his kid's swing set, a large wooden bear and some other things.

"If you're in my yard your gonna pay the price," Neff said.

The homeowners say they've called police hoping more officers patrol the area and catch the thieves
