Homeowners Chase Off Armed Robber In Porter Ranch

PORTER RANCH (CBSLA.com) — Police say a man armed with a gun broke into a home in Porter Ranch early Wednesday morning, but was frightened off by the homeowners.

The would-be home invasion robbery happened at about 12:50 a.m. in the 20000 block of Sardinia Way, Los Angeles police Lt. D. Thompson said.

"The homeowners who were there at the time confronted the man and he fled through a window in the back of the house," he said.

No shots were fired and no injuries were reported, Thompson said.

"As far as we know, the suspect did not steal anything from the home," Thompson said.
