Police Search For 4 Armed Robbers In Monrovia

MONROVIA (CBSLA.com) — Detectives searched for four armed men Tuesday who broke into a home in Monrovia.

The home invasion robbery took place overnight at a residence located in the 1000 block of East Lemon Ave, according to the Monrovia Police Department.

A preliminary investigation revealed the homeowners, their daughter and her boyfriend were sleeping when the armed robbers broke in through the back door.

The men ordered the family to lay down on the floor while they stole several guns and a computer.

The suspects then fled from the residence.

No shots were fired and no injuries were reported.

Detectives say this crime is rare for the community.

At this time, it remains unclear if the home was targeted.
