Gunman Opens Fire Outside Hollywood Club; Man Injured

HOLLYWOOD (CBSLA.com) — Police Monday searched for a gunman who opened fire outside a nightclub in Hollywood.

According to police, the incident unfolded around 2 a.m. in the 1700 block of Vine Street near Hollywood Boulevard.

Witnesses reported an argument began inside Tiffany's on Vine Nightclub and spilled into the parking lot, which led to the shooting.

The windshield of a red Corvette was found shattered in the parking lot.

Bullet casings were also found at the scene.

At least six shots were fired in the parking lot, witnesses added.

Paramedics transported a man to a hospital for treatment of injuries sustained in the shooting. An update on his condition was not immediately known.

CBS2's Kara Finnstrom reported police recovered a gun from a Jeep in the parking lot. It remains unclear if it was the weapon used in the shooting.

No suspect description was provided.

The motive for the shooting remains under investigation.
