Hit-And-Run Driver Sought After 2-Car Crash On 101 Freeway

SHERMAN OAKS (CBSLA.com) — Police Monday were investigating a hit-and-run crash that caused two cars to flip over on the 101 Freeway in the San Fernando Valley.

The accident happened shortly before midnight Sunday, just east of the San Diego (405) Freeway.

It was unclear how the accident happened, however, two people were transported to Northridge Hospital with unknown injuries.

The suspect abandoned his black BMW at the accident site and fled on foot.

Police used a helicopter and K-9 units to search for him, but the effort was later called off with no arrest, according to authorities.
