Hiker Airlifted From Angeles National Forest After Falling Off Waterfall

SIERRA MADRE (CBSLA.com) — A rescue operation saved a hiker who fell off a waterfall in the Angeles National Forest Thursday.

The Los Angeles County Fire Department and the L.A. County Sheriff's Search and Rescue team airlifted the victim from the Chantry Flats area near Sierra Madre to a nearby hospital.

The victim reportedly sustained a broken leg, according to authorities.

No other details were immediately available.
