Highland Deputies Hunt For Inmate Who Escaped From Fire Crew Duty

HIGHLAND (CBSLA.com)   —  San Bernardino Sheriff's deputies are on the hunt for an inmate they said escaped while working for a fire crew in the city of Highland on Wednesday.

The inmate was last seen around 12:30 p.m., near state Highway 330/E. Highland Avenue, officials said.

The inmate, Kent Lesporavsky, 43, is described as white, approximately 6 feet 1 inches tall, weighs 220 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes

A Sheriff's aviation unit and search dogs have also responded to the area and are assisting in the search.

Lesporavsky was last seen wearing an orange jumpsuit and long sleeve white thermal shirt. He is currently being housed by the California Department of Correction for transportation of marijuana and has a prior history for theft, drugs and assault on police.
