High Winds Cause Huge Tree To Fall In West Hollywood

WEST HOLLYWOOD (CBSLA.com) — Several cars were seriously damaged by a fallen tree caused by high winds in West Hollywood, authorities said Friday.

According to the West Hollywood Sheriff's Station, the tree fell around 10 p.m. in the 1000 block of Laurel Avenue near Santa Monica and Crescent Heights boulevards.

Winds also caused downed power lines on the West Hollywood-Beverly Hills border.

A Southern California Edison crew was called to restore power in the area.

No injuries were reported.

A red flag warning remains in effect through the weekend.
