Gusty Winds Expected Across Portions Of Southern California
LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Very strong and potentially damaging winds are expected to develop Thursday across portions of Southern California.
A high wind advisory will remain in effect until 3:00 p.m., according to the National Weather Service. A high wind watch will be in effect through Friday morning.
The strongest winds will be present in the Antelope Valley, affecting the 5 Freeway corridor in the Santa Clarita Valley and Santa Monica Mountains.
Gusts between 60 and 80 mph could bee seen blowing through the cities of Acton, Mount Wilson, Sandberg, Lancaster, Palmdale, Santa Clarita, Newhall and Valencia.
Forecasters said these strong winds could potentially bring downed trees and power lines, which could cause property damage.
Motorists should take precaution while driving.
