High-Speed Pursuit In Vernon Ends In Crash
VERNON (CBSLA.com) — A high-speed pursuit in Vernon ended in a collision early Monday evening.
The suspect vehicle reportedly crashed into at least one vehicle at Maywood and Slauson avenues just after 5 p.m.
First responders were assessing several people on scene, some of whom were bystanders. None of the injuries were believed to be life-threatening. Several of the injured were taken to hospitals.
It was not known why authorities were in pursuit of the suspects in a silver sport-utility vehicle.
Two people were expected to be taken into custody, reported Sky9's Stu Mundel in the 5 o'clock hour.
Meanwhile, the intersection was expected to remain shut while authorities investigated.
