High School Donates 53 Instruments To Blind Childrens Center In LA

EAST HOLLYWOOD (CBSLA.com) — Students from Palisades Charter High School donated 53 instruments to the Blind Childrens Center in Los Angeles.

The school's Music Matters Club raised the money through a year-end concert.

Ashley Selki, the club's president, said the gift gives kids a whole new way to learn.

"They seemed to be very excited. They were playing with them, they were parading with the instruments. We were parading with them. It was a lot of fun. They were laughing and smiling and 'wooing' to each other. It was really cute," Selki said.

The students said the goal is to bond with the kids and give every child a chance at learning music.
