High Heat Returns To Southern California
LOS ANGELES (AP) — Southern California will experience summer-like temperatures as another early autumn heat wave moves in.
The National Weather Service says a high-pressure system will push temperatures into the 90s in and around Los Angeles beginning Thursday.
Valley neighborhoods could experience triple-digit heat.
Above-normal temperatures and low humidity are expected Friday and officials are warning of increased fire danger. However, winds are expected to be light.
The system is expected to move out by Sunday, when temperatures could fall back into the 70s and 80s.
