'Hidden Cash' Man Makes Final Drops Before Leaving LA

HOLLYWOOD (CBSLA.com) — The anonymous millionaire making money drops across Northern and Southern California brought the @HiddenCash craze to Hollywood Sunday.

The man, who told CBS2/KCAL9 earlier this week he simply wants to inspire others to give back, posted hints on his Twitter page about where nine stacks of cash could be found Sunday morning.

The clue pointed his 400,000-plus followers to the entrance to Griffith Park near Hollywood.

The drops were stashed with plastic bottles filled with soap made for blowing bubbles, and as usual the man behind the social media scavenger hunt asked the lucky few who found the hundreds of dollars scattered around to tweet him back with pictures.

Some of the nine winners shared photos of themselves with their bottles of bubbles and bills in hand.

"My momma found one @hiddencash Thank you so much for doing this! #PayItForward," a Twitter user calling herself Scarlett Carolina wrote.

"@HiddenCash , thanks for making my Sunday morning walk more rewarding ! You came to me ! :) #nochasing #nopollution," Luis Chávez tweeted.

At least one more drop is expected before "Mr. Hidden Cash" leaves L.A. He logged onto the micro-blog at around 12:40 p.m. Sunday, asking followers to help him choose the location.

The self-identified wealthy real estate developer started the Hidden Cash craze last month in the San Francisco area.

Pasadena, Glendale, East Los Angeles and Hermosa Beach have been among the benefactors' other Southland stops.
