He's Back! Ricky Gervais Named Host of 73rd Annual Golden Globes
LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Ricky Gervais will be returning to host the 73rd annual Golden Globe Awards, the Hollywood Foreign Press Association announced Monday.
"Ricky Gervais left us with a lasting impression and we are thrilled to have him back in our show as we honor the best in film and television," Lorenzo Soria, the president of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, said in an article posted online.
Gervais hosted the awards show from 2010 through 2012 before passing the torch onto Tina Fey and Amy Poehler, who had served as hosts of the show for previous three years.

Gervais has won Golden Globes as Best Actor in a Comedy Series for "The Office" in 2004, "Extras" in 2008, and "Derek" in 2015. He jokingly tweeted the following on Monday:
It's a good job I'm drunk. Otherwise the thought of hosting The Golden Globes again would seem like a real pain in the arse.
