Help Needed To Identify Ventura County Burglar

THOUSAND OAKS (CBSLA.com) — Police asked for the public's help Friday to identify a man suspected in a series of burglaries throughout Ventura County.

The most recent burglary happened Monday at St. Columba's Episcopal Church, 1251 Las Posas Road in Camarillo, at about 4:40 a.m., according to Thousand Oak police Detective Michelle Kristol. The same man is also suspected of burglarizing the Bridge Church, 999 Rancho Conejo Blvd. in Newbury Park, on Sunday, and Community Pediatric Medical Group at 1250 La Venta Road on Oct. 11.

Detective Michelle Kristol said they determined the burglaries were connected by watching the surveillance videos.

In all three burglaries, cash was taken, Kristol said. A safe was taken from one location and credit cards taken from another, she said.

The burglar is described as a white man in his mid to late twenties, 5-foot-8 to 6 feet tall, blond or light brown hair and a medium to stocky build.

He is believed to drive a full-size pickup truck, similar to a Chevy Silverado, that was seen on surveillance video from two burglaries.

Anyone with information about the burglar's identity or the burglaries can call Detective Michelle Kristol at (805) 494-8211 or Detective Andja Marco at (805) 494-8227.
