Pizza Parlor Robbers Believed Behind 2 More Santa Ana Robberies

SANTA ANA (CBSLA.com) — Police asked the public's help Tuesday in identifying two men who robbed a Santa Ana pizza restaurant at gunpoint.

Two men robbed Pronto Pizza, 1734 W. First St., Saturday at 9:57 p.m., Santa Ana police said.

One suspect brandished a black semi-auto handgun from his waistband, and both men demanded money, police said. An employee handed the armed suspect an undisclosed amount of cash from the register, and the two men fled on foot through the parking lot and out onto Raitt Street, police said.

Police believe the two men may be behind two more Santa Ana robberies – one on Nov. 11 at Video Sky, 2525 W. 17th St., and one on Dec. 9 at Radio Shack, 1601 W. 17th St.

The two suspects were described as 20 to 24-year-old Hispanic men.

The first suspect was described as being 5-foot-6, 160 pounds, with black hair, brown eyes and a mustache, wearing a red baseball cap, black sweatshirt, black pants and black Nike shoes.

The second suspect was described as being between 5-foot-9 to 6 feet tall, 160 pounds, black hair and brown eyes, wearing an open gray hooded zip-up sweater with white writing and the hood up, a black and white plaid shirt, black pants, a purple bandanna over his face and gray shoes.
