Hello Kitty Cafe To Open In Irvine At End Of Month, Reports Say

IRVINE (CBSLA.com) — By the end of the month, a Hello Kitty-themed cafe is expected to open in Irvine, according to published reports.

The Los Angeles Times said on Tuesday that the pop-up shop at the Irvine Spectrum Center will serve treats like doughnuts and macaroons, as well as tea and other beverages.

The makeshift café, according to the Orange County Register, is expected to remain at the mall for at least a year.

Hello Kitty is a favorite in the Southland.

Last October, a Hello Kitty convention was held in Los Angeles in celebration of the global icon's 40th birthday.
