Heavy Traffic Expected Downtown For Emmy Awards

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Heavy traffic is expected Monday afternoon and evening in the downtown area due to the 66th Annual Emmy Awards.

Chick Hearn Court, between L.A. Live Way and Hope Street, will be the only street closed during the event.

All other streets surrounding the Nokia Theater will remain open, however, officials warn of heavy traffic on surrounding freeways and streets from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.

"Specifically, Pico and Olympic Boulevards, 8th, 9th, 11th, 12th, Flower, Union and Figueroa Streets, L.A. Live Way and routes 10, 101 and 110 are the main thoroughfares Emmy Awards guests will be using to arrive at the venue," organizers said.
