Heading To Downtown LA Sunday? Here's Why You'll Want To Leave Early, Plan Ahead

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — If you're heading to downtown Los Angeles Sunday, you'll want to leave early and plan ahead as traffic congestion is expected due to several events.

The events include the Rock 'N Roll Marathon, which gets underway at 6 a.m. in downtown.

By 10 a.m., Stan Lee's Comic Con at the LA Convention Center will get underway, followed by the Clippers home opener at the Staples Center, which starts at 1:30 p.m.

Street closures include:

• Figueroa Street from Wilshire Boulevard to Adams Boulevard will be closed from approximately 2 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.

• Pico Boulevard from L.A. LIVE Way to Hope Street will be closed from approximately 6 a.m. – 9:30 a.m.

• Olympic Boulevard will be closed from Francisco Street to Flower Street from approximately 6 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.
