Hang Glider Crash Kills Man In San Bernardino Mountains

CRESTLINE (CBSLA.com/AP) — A 64-year-old man was killed in a hang glider crash at Crestline in the San Bernardino Mountains.

The hang gliding accident was first reported at 1:37 p.m. Wednesday at Glider Launch in Crestline.

According to the San Bernardino County Coroner's Office, Larry Heidler of Corona lost control of his hang glider and struck a tree. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The accident is under investigation by the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department.
