Gun, Drugs Found In Crib At Felon's Alhambra Home

ALHAMBRA (CBSLA.com) — A man, who was released early from prison, is back behind bars Friday after police made a shocking find in a baby's crib.

Alhambra police were conducting a compliance check Thursday morning and found a stolen handgun and drugs in the crib at the home of 28-year-old Vincent Vera.

Officers caught him trying to escape off a backyard balcony.

Vera was released under the AB109 program to ease prison overcrowding.

He was rearrested on felony weapons and narcotics charges and is being without bail.
