'Guiding Light' Actress Crystal Hunt Charged With Assault With A Deadly Weapon

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — A soap opera actress who has appeared on "One Life To Live" and "Guiding Light" has been charged with assault with a deadly weapon following an altercation at a West Hollywood bar.

Crystal Hunt, who turned 29 Wednesday, pleaded not guilty to one count of felony assault with a deadly weapon, plus a special allegation that she used a glass as a weapon, according to the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office.

Hunt, who was freed after posting $30,000 bail, is scheduled to return to court Feb. 24.

Prosecutors say Hunt hurled a glass at a woman on Dec. 13, 2013 and that the victim suffered cuts to the faces as a result.

If convicted as charged, Hunt faces five years in state prison.
