Grenade Washes Up On Shore Of Paradise Cove In Malibu

MALIBU (CBSLA.com) — Authorities are trying to figure out how a grenade washed up on the shore of Paradise Cove in Malibu.

Deputies were notified at 1:13 p.m. Thursday, said. Sgt. Wright of the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department Malibu Lost Hills Station.

The grenade was found at a popular tourist destination and home to the bustling Paradise Cove Beach Cafe.

"Obviously it was safe enough to take away," Wright said.

It's unclear where the device came from and what kind of grenade it was.
