Gov. Brown Endorses Hillary Clinton In Upcoming California Primary

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Gov. Jerry Brown has announced that he will vote for Hillary Clinton during the upcoming primary election in California.

Brown announced his endorsement through Twitter on Tuesday morning.

"I have decided to cast my vote for Hillary Clinton because I believe this is the only path forward to win the presidency and stop the dangerous candidacy of Donald Trump," he said within the open letter to California Democrats and Independents. "Next January, I want to be sure that it is Hillary Clinton who takes the oath of office, not Donald Trump."

Within the letter, Brown goes on to explain that Clinton has "convincingly made the case that she knows how to get things done" and she has the "tenacity and skill to advance the Democratic agenda."

Brown also addressed his concern over several of Trump's pledges for Republican candidacy.

California residents will cast their vote for presidential candidates on June 7.
