Good Samaritans Rescue Abandoned Dog In Sealed Trash Bag

FONTANA (CBSLA.com) — Two good Samaritans in Fontana are being credited with saving the life of an abandoned dog.

The dog now named Gladys was found by a woman on her morning walk on Valley Boulevard and Catawba Avenue.

The woman heard whimpering sounds from an open field and found the dog, which had been tied up in a sealed, black trash bag.

A second good Samaritan grabbed a blanket and comforted Gladys until animal-control officers arrived.

Gladys had bite marks and skin rashes.

She is said to be recovering at Sunshine Haven Animal Rescue and is expected to be ready for adoption soon.

Anyone with more information about this crime is asked to contact Fontana police.
