Good Samaritans Rescue 2 From Fiery South LA Crash

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Two people Tuesday morning were rescued by good Samaritans following a fiery crash in South Los Angeles.

The crash happened around 3:30 a.m. at the intersection of East 95th Street and South Central Avenue, the Los Angeles Police Department said.

The sedan ran into a light pole and immediately caught fire.

A woman and her sister, who were nearby, rescued the male and female passengers trapped inside, police said.

Both victims were taken to St. Francis Medical Center.

The driver suffered life-threatening injuries and was listed in critical condition.

It was unclear what caused the accident, however, authorities have declared the accident a crime scene.
