GoGo SqueeZ Issues Voluntary Recall Of Certain Applesauce Pouches

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — GoGo squeeZ is voluntarily recalling specific applesauce pouches that the company says may not meet its quality standards.

The move comes following the discovery of food product residue in two product pumps during a plant inspection.

The company says the inspection was by the Michigan State Department of Agriculture and Rural Development.

No illnesses have been reported due to this issue, the company said.

The recall of non-organic GoGo squeeZ applesauce pouches have a best before date of Dec. 4, 2015 and March 4, 2017 and a 5-digit production code beginning "US" followed by 01, 02, 03, 04, 05, 06, 07 or 08, according to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.

Consumers who have purchased the pouches may contact the company directly at 1-844-275-5841 or click here for a replacement voucher.

The company stressed the recall does not include or impact GoGo squeeZ Organic products or GoGo squeeZ YogurtZ.

It was not immediately clear whether the recall extends to other states, including in California.
