Glassdoor Releases List Of Highest Paying Jobs In U.S. For 2016

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Glassdoor has released its list of the 25 highest paying jobs in the U.S. this year.

Making the top of the list were doctors, lawyers, and research and development managers. Each made a median base salary of at least 140,000, according to the site.

Glassdoor cautions, however, that a high-paying job isn't always synonymous with job satisfaction.

Andrew Chamberlain, a chief economist for Glassdoor, said "our research shows that a big paycheck isn't necessarily tied to long-term satisfaction in your job."

"Instead, when we dig deeper into what keeps employees satisfied once they're in a job and with a company," Chamberlain said, "we find that culture and values, career opportunities, and trust in senior leadership are the biggest drivers of employee satisfaction."
