Dedrich says the use of the two bakers ensures that should something go awry with one, all councils don't suffer.

According to Dedrich, ABC Bakers are utilized in Orange County, while Little Brownie Bakers are used in Los Angeles County.

"The Thin Mints, although they are called the same, are a little bit different," Dedrich said. "They're very similar. Of course, each baker has their own recipe that they feel is the best recipe around, and they each have their following."
