Garden Grove Woman Arrested On Suspicion Of Murdering Boyfriend At Trailer Park

GARDEN GROVE (CBSLA.com) — A 20-year-old woman suspected of murdering her boyfriend at a trailer park in Garden Grove was in custody on Thursday.

According to the Garden Grove Police Department, Arlene Katherine Bautista, of Garden Grove, was arrested and charged with homicide on Wednesday afternoon.

Shortly before 4 p.m., officers were sent to Emerald Isle trailer park, located in the 13700 block of Clinton, for report of unknown trouble.

Upon their arrival, authorities located an adult man suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.

Paramedics transported the victim to UCI for medical treatment where he later died.

Luis Victor Vidal, 25, of Garden Grove, was identified as the victim, officials said.

A handgun was recovered at the scene.

A preliminary investigation revealed Bautista and Vidal were dating at the time of the crime.

Bautista is being held at the Orange County Jail.
