Garden Grove Barber Wanted For Allegedly Stabbing Customer

GARDEN GROVE (CBSLA.com) — An Orange County barber was wanted for attempted murder Wednesday after he allegedly stabbed a man several times instead of giving him a haircut.

Jeff Valenz went to 23-year-old Adrian Gomez's home in Garden Grove for a haircut Tuesday afternoon when Gomez allegedly stabbed him three times in the neck and once in the left elbow, police said.

The victim, who knew Gomez, said he was "suddenly stabbed by Valenz for no apparent reason."

Gomez then fled his home, located in the 10000 block of Imperial Avenue.

Valenz called police as he attempted to drive himself to a local hospital.

He was later transported to UCI Medical Center, where he was treated for non-life threatening injuries.

Gomez is described as a Hispanic man, 6 feet 1 inch tall and about 220 pounds. He has brown hair and brown eyes and is considered armed and dangerous.
