Country House Wins Kentucky Derby After Maximum Security Disqualified

LOUISVILLE (CBSLA) — Country House (65-1) won the 145th running of the Kentucky Derby at Churchill Downs Saturday after Maximum Security (4-1) crossed the finish line first but was disqualified after video review.

The disqualification marks the first time in Kentucky Derby history that a horse that finished first did not win the race.

At 65-1, Country House was the second-largest longshot in the history of the race after Donerail at 91-1 in 1913.
