Funeral Services To Be Held For 4-Year-Old Killed In Glendale Hit-And-Run

GLENDALE (CBSLA.com) — Funeral services will take place Wednesday for a 4-year-old girl who was killed by a hit-and-run driver in Glendale.

Violeta Katchatorian was with her parents in her family's front yard on March 6 when she ran out into the street around 5 p.m. and was struck, police said.

She was transported to a local hospital where she was pronounced dead.

The 55-year-old driver, who initially fled the scene, turned himself in the next day.

Shant Badleen was charged with felony hit and run.

According to police, if Badleen had stopped he likely would not have been held responsible for the incident. His bail was set at $50,000.

Katchatorian's funeral will be held at 1 p.m. at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
