Funeral Services Announced For Fallen Covina Officer

COVINA (CBSLA.com) — Funeral services have been announced for a Covina police officer who was killed Tuesday in an on-duty collision.

Covina police Officer Jordan Corder will be honored at a service Tuesday at Pomona First Baptist Church, 586 N. Main Street.

The services, which will be open to the public, are scheduled to get underway at 11 a.m. and will be followed by a procession through downtown Covina to Covina's Forest Lawn Memorial Park.

On Sept. 30, the 28-year-old Corder was thrown from his motorcycle in a crash with an SUV at the intersection of North Citrus Avenue and West Puente Street at 1:55 p.m.

The driver of the SUV was described as a 75-year-old woman. Her condition was not known.

Corder, a seven-year veteran, is survived by his wife, parents and sister.
