Fundraisers Planned For Family Of Murdered Torrance Siblings

TORRANCE (CBSLA.com)  —  A series of fundraisers are being planned to help the family grieving the loss of three murdered children.

Torrance Police say 30-year-old Carol Coronado fatally stabbed her three daughters, ages 3, 2 and 2 months on Tuesday.

Neighbors said at the time of the murders, the children's father, Rudy Coronado, was working on a friend's car across the street.

He was too grief-stricken to speak to reporters on Wednesday.

Officials plan to charge Carol Coronado with three counts of murder.

Outside the family's home Wednesday, friends and family told KCAL9's Rachel Kim that numerous efforts were underway to raise money for burial expenses.

On Facebook, a page entitled "Angels Coronado" announced plans for a car wash on Saturday (May 24) and Sunday (May 25) at 18409 Avalon Boulevard in Carson in honor of Sophia, Yazmine and Xenia.
