PACIFIC PALISADES (CBSLA.com) — A 73-year-old Fullerton woman has been arrested on suspicion of hit-and-run in connection with a crash that severely injured a pedestrian as he walked across Pacific Coast Highway in Pacific Palisades.

Anna Soon Ma was arrested Monday on suspicion of felony hit-and-run, but was released Tuesday morning after posting $50,000 bail.

Police say a 28-year-old man was walking across Pacific Coast Highway, north of Temescal Canyon Road, in a marked, flashing pedestrian crosswalk at about 7:55 p.m. Friday when a silver 2010 Toyota Prius collided with him and left the scene.

The man, who was not identified, sustained severe head trauma and was airlifted to a hospital, police said.
