Full Containment Expected Wednesday For Colby Fire Near Glendora
GLENDORA (CBSLA.com) — A wildfire that forced hundreds of residents out of their homes late last week was 78 percent contained on Sunday, authorities said.
The Colby Fire has scorched 1906 acres in the foothills near the Angeles National Forest.

The fast-moving blaze erupted about 5:50 a.m. Thursday, destroying five homes and damaging 17 other structures. The fire was reportedly the result of a recklessly set campfire, authorities said.
Three men were booked on suspicion of starting the campfire.
Meanwhile, the last of the evacuees were allowed back into their homes in the Mountain Cove area north of Azusa on Saturday evening.
"I've kind of been couch-hopping the last couple of days at friend's places so I'm happy to be sleeping in my own bed," one resident said.
Tony Garcia, another Mountain Cove resident, expressed similar sentiments.
"Big sigh of relief. Good to be back after … three days really but it's good to be back home and being able to sleep in my bed and take a bath," Garcia said.
Full containment is expected by Wednesday.
