Fugitive Accused Of Killing Pregnant Girlfriend Arrested By Border Patrol Agents

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — A 39-year-old fugitive who was wanted by police for the alleged murder of his pregnant girlfriend has been apprehended in Southern California, officials said Monday.

According to the FBI, agents with the U.S. Customs Border Protection arrested Philip Patrick Policarpio, one of the agency's most wanted parolees, at the San Ysidro Port of Entry as he was crossing into the U.S. from Tijuana on Sunday.

Policarpio is accused of fatally shooting his live-in girlfriend, Lauren Olguin, 32, on April 12 at their home located in the 500 block of North Virgil Avenue in East Hollywood, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

Additional information about the case will be provided by the FBI on Tuesday morning.
