Free Health Care Clinic To Begin Handing Out Wristbands Next Week

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — A massive free health care clinic is getting ready to set up shop for the third year in a row at the Los Angeles Memorial Sports Arena.

Care Harbor will begin handing out wristbands on Sept. 7 for the clinic, which will run Sept. 11-14.

The wristbands, considered registration for the clinic, will be available starting at 9 a.m. at the nearly 17,000-seat arena in Exposition Park, 3939 S. Figueroa St., where the gates will open at 7 a.m.

Wristbands will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis. Patients can choose the date they want to attend the clinic and the selected date will be reflected on the wristband.

Wristbands for children or patients who can't go to the clinic on their own will be given to the parent or caregiver. This person must accompany the patient to the clinic and only the patient will receive services.
