Super Bowl Champion Antonio Pierce To Coach Long Beach Poly High School Football Team

LOS ANGELES - (CBSLA.com) - Southern California's most dominant high school football program Long Beach Poly has hired former New York Giant Antonio Pierce.

The 2011 Super Bowl champion will take over Raul Lara, who resigned at the end of the 2013 season after spending 13 seasons with the Jack Rabbits.

"It's a great opportunity," said Pierce. "You don't have to rebuild. All you have to do is fine tune a couple things. I couldn't ask something better than coaching high school kids."

Pierce spent nine seasons in the NFL, including a Super Bowl win in 2007 with the Giants.

Long Beach Poly, who finished with a 11-3 season, has sent more players(over 60)than any other high school in the country.
