Former California Governor Endorses Republican Candidate Ted Cruz For The Presidency

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Having already chosen a former California Senate candidate as his running mate, Senator Ted Cruz got a surprise endorsement from former California Governor Pete Wilson.

It's not clear how much the endoresment will help Cruz, who is trailing Donald Trump in the California polls.

California could be Cruz's last stand in his battle to deny the nomination to Trump.

"We are all in. District by district by district," Cruz said of the Califonia primary.

Just the fact that all three Republican presidential candidates came to California to speak at the State Republican Convention this weekend, just days before the crucial showdown in Indiana.

The visits speak volumes about the impact California could have on the final outcome of the race, an outcome that could become a lot clearer after the Indiana primary on Tuesday.
