Car-To-Car Shooting Closes Portion Of 10 Freeway In Fontana

FONTANA (CBSLA.com) — Police Friday investigated the circumstances surrounding a car-to-car shooting that occurred on the 10 Freeway in Fontana.

The incident unfolded just before 4 a.m. near Cherry Ave, according to California Highway Patrol officers.

A preliminary investigation revealed a motorist opened fire on another vehicle before crashing into the center divider of the freeway.

At this time, the armed man remains barricaded inside of a vehicle on the freeway.

Officers opened westbound lanes of the freeway shortly after 6 a.m., officials said.

All eastbound lanes will remain closed at Cherry Ave until further notice.

No injuries have been reported.
