Memorial Wreath Placed On Doris Roberts' Hollywood Walk Of Fame Star

HOLLYWOOD (CBSLA.com) — Flowers were laid on actress Doris Roberts' Hollywood Walk of Fame star on Tuesday.

The memorial wreath was placed at 10:00 a.m. in the 7000 block of Hollywood Boulevard.

The five-time Emmy winner is best known for playing Ray Romano's overbearing mother on the comedy hit "Everybody Loves Raymond."

Roberts began her career as a veteran actress on Broadway before moving to the small and big screens.

She appeared in shows such as "Angie," "Mary Tyler Moore," "All in the Family," "The Streets of San Francisco," and "Mary Hartman Mary Hartman."

Roberts also acted in films including "National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation," "Ladies on Sweet Street," "My Giant," and "Madea's Witness Protection."

The 90-year-old actress died peacefully in her sleep of natural causes in Los Angeles on Sunday, according to her family.
