First Tickets To 2017 Coachella Festival Go On Sale This Morning

INDIO (CBSLA.com) — Advance-sale tickets to the 2017 Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival go on sale Wednesday morning.

The sale begins at 11 a.m. at www.coachella.com.

General admission tickets will continue to be priced at $399, but the advance sale gives customers the option of making seven monthly payments, with no extra fees included.

Festival organizers say Wednesday's advance sale is the only official sale in which the payment plan will be offered. All types of passes can be purchased with the payment plan – except for the $7,000 Safari Tent.

Next year's festival is scheduled for the weekends of April 14-16 and April 21-23 at the Empire Polo Grounds in Indio.

Performer lineups are typically released in January.

The 2016 festival, featuring LCD Soundsystem, Guns N' Roses and Calvin Harris, was another success for music promoter and festival organizer Goldenvoice, selling out both weekends.

Upcoming festivals figure to be bigger than ever in light of a recent Indio City Council vote that increased the festival attendance cap from 99,000 to 125,000.
