Injured Hiker Airlifted From Griffith Park For Treatment

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA) - A hiker was airlifted Saturday afternoon after he was stricken while in a remote part of the Griffith Park area.

He was located around 10:20 a.m.. near East Observatory Road.

The nature of his injuries was not immediately clear, but Los Angeles Fire Department crews were able to airlift the man from the popular hiking destination just before 11 a.m., when they transported him to a nearby hospital for treatment.
